Can Diffuse Reflectance help?
The fluoresence signal from the tissue is small compare to the temporal
and spatial changes in biological systems, therefore, the researchers are
usually combine all information obtained during spectroscopic experiments
to find the unknown signatures.
For example, the diffuse reflectance at the excitation light wavelength
can be analyzed together with a much weaker fluoresence signal.
